uhm pretty angry

at my DAD. soo my family believes that if a person with dark hair/skin wishes you a Happy New Year first then you'll have good luck for the year.  wellll my dad knows  this very well so can SOMEONE tell me um WHY he walked in the door and said Happy New Year to me?!?!? he claims that he thought someone would've already said it to me since it was 1:30, well I told him that I only woke up  bleepin 30 mins ago. so if someone would let me know why he would basically doom his own daughter um lemme know.
