ya it can be used in everyday sentences, in places that you would have used ridiculous, outrageous, insane, crazy, awesome. Its basically just a WAYY cooler synonym to be used in everyday sentences.

Example:

Dude, your jacket is ridic.   or     That song/chica is ridic.
